WESTERN SAHARA ENVOY TO VISIT NORTH AFRICA AND EUROPE

The Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Christopher Ross, will visit North Africa and Europe from 27 October to 15 November to continue his mission.

His focus during this trip will be to exchange views with key interlocutors on how to accelerate progress toward the central objective set forth in successive Security Council resolutions, in other words, a mutually acceptable political solution, which will provide for the self-determination of the people of Western Sahara.

He is due to brief the Security Council following his trip.

SAHARA OCCIDENTAL ENVIADO PARA VISITAR NORTE DE ÁFRICA Y EUROPA

Enviado Personal del Secretario General para el Sáhara Occidental, Christopher Ross, visitará el norte de África y Europa del 27 de octubre al 15 de noviembre para continuar su misión.

Su objetivo en este viaje será intercambiar puntos de vista con interlocutores clave sobre cómo acelerar el progreso hacia el objetivo central enunciada en sucesivas resoluciones del Consejo de Seguridad, es decir, una solución política mutuamente aceptable que prevea la libre determinación del pueblo del Sáhara Occidental.

Él se debe de informar al Consejo de Seguridad a raíz de su viaje.
